SUstainable PiezoElectric tRansducers for Health (SUPER)

Piezoelectric materials are among the best options for the conversion between biomechanical and electrical signals. SUPER aims at developing an entire new class of efficient, safe, flexible piezoelectric transducers based on sustainable materials and technologies as well as at applying them for monitoring and controlling physiological parameters in humans and animal models._x000D_ Designed in cooperation with clinical experts, skin patches, brain probes and ingestible pills will enable new methodologies to be applied to a broad range of clinically relevant experiments for selected conditions and diseases, including cardiovascular, neurodegenerative diseases, tumor identification and local treatment._x000D_ The ambition is to produce new technologies and methodologies with clinical relevance and to contribute to the discovery and treatment of the dysfunctions underlying the pathogenesis of selected conditions.
